Our latest residential design project embodies this philosophy, transforming an entire bedroom floor into a haven of beauty and tranquility. We’re thrilled to share the journey and the creative process behind this stunning redesign.

The Vision

The homeowners came to us with a clear vision: they wanted a space that felt both classic and contemporary, with a softness that invites relaxation. They were particularly inspired by the elegance of traditional design elements, and we immediately knew that incorporating ornamental mouldings would be key to achieving this aesthetic.

Bringing Back the Elegance

Ornamental mouldings, or sierlijsten, have a rich history in interior design, adding a touch of sophistication to any room. For this project, we carefully selected mouldings that would enhance the architectural features of the bedroom, adding depth and character to the walls and ceilings. The result is a harmonious blend of old-world charm and modern simplicity.

Creating a Timeless, Soft Interior

To complement the elegance of the mouldings, we focused on creating a soft, serene color palette. Gentle neutrals and muted tones were chosen to evoke a sense of calm and relaxation. We used high-quality materials for the feeling of luxury and comfort.

Every detail in this bedroom redesign was meticulously crafted to balance classic charm with contemporary living. The Final Touch

Lighting played a crucial role in this transformation. We incorporated a mix of ambient, task, and accent lighting to create a versatile and warm environment. Elegant light fixtures, including a statement chandelier and subtle wall sconces, add to the room's overall ambiance, making it a perfect retreat at any time of day.
